Hey, I’m Errin!
Somatic therapies have changed the way I operate in the world. Maybe they’ll change your world for the better, too.
I believe that somatics supplies the radical knowledge we need to reform our lives, our communities, and our culture, one nervous system at a time.
It is my goal to support and educate folks on how their thoughts, feelings and behaviors are intimately connected and driven by the amount of safety sensed within them. When this is known, so much begins to make sense!
The overall health of our bodies within our culture and environments depends on safety. With safety and coherence as our north star, we can orient towards it within ourselves, using it as a catalyst towards more connection with self, others and our larger systems/environments.
You do not need to have experienced trauma, have a chronic health issue or official diagnosis to benefit from somatic therapies. Understanding how your own nervous system is wired and functions is invaluable, and ought to be Human Being Knowledge 101.
Every part of your life can benefit from knowing what is going on with your body, your embodied boundaries, your capacity for pleasure and connection, and your ability to orient towards health.
My support, knowledge and skill set are rooted in over 15 years experience as a bodyworker and are directly shaped and inspired by my own experiences.
Somatic therapies have changed the way I function, relate to and view the world. These therapies have made it possible for me to connect with myself and quite literally, come to my senses.
Understanding my body and the sensational wisdom it holds has increased my capacity for life in all directions. Through somatics, I now have more access to myself, the way I feel, how to tend to my wants and needs, and my nervous system has more flexibility to respond, settle and connect.
I approach this work with a sense of humor, lots of play and curiosity, reverence for the wide range of human experience, and a whole-hearted commitment to meet you right where you are.
My passion lies in supporting women, of all ages, throughout their lifespan. Because of my own lived experience, I am best suited to support girls and women who are both cycle-breaking and cycle-making.
Educating, supporting and helping women understand, inhabit and befriend their bodies, find their voice and authentic expression, and establish healthy aggression and boundaries is my greatest inspiration.
My clients include people who:
are adolescents & adult survivors of various traumas
are struggling with syndromal patterns (autoimmune disease, chronic pain, EDS, CFS, IBS/SIBO, migraines, etc.)
want relief from chronic stress, chronic pain and/or chronic fatigue symptoms
are sober-curious, in recovery or needing support with their management strategies (smoking, substances, devices, food, etc.)
experience general anxiety, social anxiety, postpartum anxiety, depression, postpartum depression
are recovering from an accident or injury
are preparing for or recovering from surgery or medical procedure
are preparing for or recovering from: pregnancy, childbirth, miscarriage, abortion
are folks who often feel ‘wired and tired’, overwhelmed, and stuck
Laughter is my favorite medicine. I enjoy comedy of many forms, storytelling through television and film, spending time traveling and in nature, using my hands to create a good meal or ceramic vessel, rock hunting, being on a river, rollerblading with a great playlist and am super proud to be living life sober.
As someone with c-PTSD and an autoimmune disease, I understand how difficult it can be to navigate all the complexities of daily life and chronic illness. I know first hand how necessary it is to have the right amount and kind of support throughout the healing process.
I believe one of my greatest strengths as a somatic therapist is my ongoing dedication to personal growth and evolution. My career provides me with a rich and endless umbrella of topics and interests to continually satisfy my curiosity and enjoyment for learning, tending, growing and serving.
